Music Concert

As I have said in my earlier post, I have taken up music as one of my elective subject. Beacuse of this, my assesment task for this semester was to hold a concert. We were to play as a group so this means I'm not playing alone. There was much planning for this concert as everyone wanted it to be perfect. We were to bring some "food" and wear black shirts and tie for this concert. I brought chips (2 packets), not wanting to go through the hassle of preparing food.

One by one, we reached the school's lecture theatre. We spent about 20 minutes preparing and tuning our instruments. At about 6:50, parents started to fill the seats. After 5 minutes, everyone was ready. Let the show begin!

Altogether, we played 7-8 songs (1 song was played by the violins alone). It was a good performance, better than what we all expected. Songs included When The Saints Go Marching In and Pirates Of The Carribean. The latter was my favourite song.

After the concert, everyone rushed to the snacks corner. However, I decided to go back home as soon as possible. Home was where I wanted to be!

Now, as I'm writing this, I feel like there's a burden off my shoulders now. The nervousness has gone!!! :)

Debbie's Gone To Camp~!

Some of you may have known this already. Debbie has gone to camp for the whole of this week (excluding Sat and Sun). So, it's just Mum and I. It is a lot quieter here without her, but it doesn't bother me much... Mum is missing Debbie a lot and I'm sure Debbie misses home (I think).

Miss Saigon & The Phantom Of The Opera

I just realised something... I didn't tell you guys that I watched "Miss Saigon" in May. It was a good experience but I found the story to be pretty predictable. The music was great but the seats were so small! I am not one who can sit in one spot for 3 over hours without moving. So, you could probably tell how I felt during the play. *Uncomfortable* The story reveloved around a Vietnamese woman who fell in love with an American man. Then, when the American man went back, she gave birth to a boy. Worse, the American man also has a wife in America! I'll just let you guys guess the rest.

Now, my music teacher is letting watch another play, "The Phantom Of The Opera". I know it's a good play. I've heard many good things about it. Some of you would probably tell me the same things others did. I want to go but I also want to spend the day at home, resting. Should I go?? Must give my answer to the teacher by Friday...

Btw, I have changed my e-mail due to memory loss (forgot my password). This is probably the reason why I never got to answer your e-mails. My new e-mail is nicholaschoo_93@yahoo.com
