Vietnamese rolls

A family friend came to our house. Actually, she has been coming to our house for a few times now but today was special. We had vietnamese rolls for dinner. She brought many of the necessary ingredients needed for this food. Furthermore, she cooked most of them for us. These vietnamese rolls consisted of lettuce, noodles, beef, carrots dipped in sweet and sour sauce, long beans, cucumber and almond nuts (pounded). Basil is optional. Well, this is our style of vietnamese rolls. What made me interested in this was that this was a "hands-on" type of food. First, we had to dip the rice paper in hot water. Second, we spread it on a plate. Third, we put lettuce on the rice paper. Fourth. we put the noodles on it. Fifth, we put beef on it. Sixth, we put carrots on it. Seventh, we put long beans and cucumber on top of it. Eighth, we sprinkle the pounded almonds over the ingredients. Then, we roll it up. The final product: Vietnamese Rolls.

P.S: The first roll I made was not as good as this... I had a really tough time doing it...

Hey, the plate doesn't look familiar. Did you obtain the pic from the internet? You didn't take pics of the roll you made?

Of course I took it from the internet. I wouldn't want to be taking pictures while we were eating. Quite unpleasant...

Why not? I rather see pics of rolls made by you then to see a meaningless one from the internet. You should post pics that have your personal touch. Your viewers will appreciate them better.

Your daddy was salivate when he looked at the picture. Vietnamese rolls is a very delicious food especially eaten with different types of raw vegetables. It is so much better than local spring rolls. How is life over there after more than 2 months stay?
